**Job Title:** Interventional Cardiologist **Job Specialty:** Interventional Cardiology **Job Duration:** 13 months **Shift:** Days - seeing inpatient hospital patients, seeing clinic patients, rotating into the cardiac Cath Lab **Guaranteed Hours:** Not specified **Experience:** Minimum of 2 years as an Interventional Cardiologist required. Evidence of competence and an adequate volume (150 percutaneous coronary interventional procedures) with acceptable outcomes in the past 24 months is required. Continuing education related to interventional cardiology is also required. **License:** Oregon License (or willing to obtain) required **Certifications:** - Board Certified in Internal Medicine required - Board Certified in Interventional Cardiology or Certificate of Added Qualification in Interventional Cardiology **Must-Have:** - Ties to Oregon, such as family in the area or previous residence - Demonstrated competence in interventional cardiology procedures - Adaptability and ability to prioritize and address multiple responsibilities concurrently - Good judgment and effective critical thinking skills **Job Description:** - Share responsibilities for seeing inpatient hospital patients and clinic patients - Rotate into the cardiac Cath Lab schedule and cover an imaging rotation - Participate in general and interventional call rotations - Privileges include assessing, stabilizing, and determining the disposition of patients with emergent conditions consistent with policies regarding emergency and consultative call services - Perform interventional cardiology core procedures, including: - Intracoronary foreign body retrieval - Administration of intracoronary pharmacologic agents - Intracoronary mechanical thrombectomy - Use of intracoronary stents, balloon angioplasty, and interventional devices - Intracoronary ultrasound and Doppler techniques - Management of complications of percutaneous interventional coronary procedures - Perform rotational atherectomy - Primarily radial approach for angiography or percutaneous coronary interventions - Interpret coronary angiograms, ventriculography, and hemodynamics - Intra-aortic balloon pump catheter insertion and post-procedural care - Special requested procedures may include peripheral vascular interventions, carotid stenting, and endovascular grafts - Maintain regular and punctual attendance - Work effectively under stress with frequently changing job requirements - Participate in growth opportunities within the organization **Compensation and Benefits:** - Competitive salary range based on experience and training (discussed during interview) - Sign-on bonus and relocation assistance (if applicable) - Medical options, including PPOs and high deductible plans - Prescription drug, dental, and vision plans - Flexible spending accounts and life/ADD term insurance - Short- and long-term disability - Retirement plans, including Defined Contribution and Deferred Compensation Plans - Tuition reimbursement and family scholarship program - Paid time off and extension leave policies - Employee assistance program and affordable childcare options - Fitness, wellness, and health club benefits **On-Call:** Shared for both general and interventional call
