**Job Title:** Emergency Medicine Physician **Job Specialty:** Emergency Medicine **Job Duration:** 1 Day + Orientation **Shift:** Day - 3x12 Hours (7 AM - 7 PM) **Guaranteed Hours:** N/A **Experience:** Minimum Board Certification Required **License:** Board Certified or Board Eligible in Emergency Medicine **Certifications:** - BLS (Basic Life Support) **Must-Have:** - Board Certified in Emergency Medicine **Job Description:** - Provide emergency medical care and treatment across a range of cases - Conduct both inpatient and outpatient services - Manage an average of 36 patient encounters per shift - Work alongside a team consisting of ED RNs and Physician Assistants (Monday to Friday, 1 PM - 9 PM) - Participate in onsite orientation on January 20th from 8 AM to 3 PM - Required to manage emergency department patient admissions, averaging 3 admissions per day - Utilize Meditech for all charting and documentation - Be part of a facility with trauma level 2, ensuring availability of essential services such as Anesthesia, General Surgery, Laboratory, OR Response, Orthopedic Surgery, and Radiology - Coordinate with available support services and address patient needs efficiently - Work in a facility with an 11-bed department This role involves providing critical emergency care, requiring quick decision-making and proficiency in handling diverse medical situations. The position supports the emergency department's operational needs due to a scheduling requirement, and the provider must be credentialed within 30 days of the submitted application. Facilities favor the provision of lodging if available and extend temporary privileges in necessary situations.
