We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Emergency Medicine Physician for a locum tenens opportunity in Newburgh, NY. This position offers the chance to provide high-quality, urgent care in a busy Emergency Department (ED) within a supportive and collaborative healthcare environment.This role features 24/7 physician and Advanced Practice Provider (APP) coverage, ensuring a comprehensive team-based approach to patient care. Shifts are available during the following times: 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM/7:00 PM, 10:30 AM to 9:30 PM, 3:00 PM to 11:30 PM, and 9:00 PM to 7:00 AM. Weekend coverage is required, but there are no call responsibilities. A minimum of six shifts per month is expected from the locum provider.The hospital features 150 total beds and an annual Emergency Department volume of 48,000 patients. The Emergency Department itself includes 31 beds, with 8 designated as Fast Track beds. With an average of 2 patients per hour, this Level III Trauma Center ensures high-quality care is delivered efficiently. The department uses the EPIC EMR system to facilitate streamlined documentation and communication. Specialty backup is available and includes trauma, interventional cardiology, orthopedics, OB/GYN, anesthesia, and critical care.Qualifications
- Must be EM residency trained.
- Board Certified (BC) or Board Eligible (BE) in Emergency Medicine.
