No new grads.**License:** Active South Carolina license required**Certifications:** Board Certified required**Must-Have:** Clean background highly preferred; prior experience with similar settings and procedures**Job Description:**- Seeking addition to Gastroenterology locum pool for future coverage needs- Open dates include various weeks in December and January for specific 24-hour shifts- In-hospital practice setting addressing physician shortage- Responsible for covering adult gastroenterology cases within a Level II Trauma hospital- Collaborate with a group of three physicians- Utilize Epic EMR system for documentation- Required procedures include: - Colonoscopy - Liver Biopsy - Esophageal Dilatation/Manometry and Interpretation - Lower GI Endoscopy - Sigmoidoscopy - Various types of Upper GI Endoscopy, including therapeutic and diagnostic- Average patient load includes 16 hospital-based patients per day with 6 consults- Onsite lab and x-ray facilities available- Credentialing needed before December; expedited process requiredThis is an exciting opportunity for experienced gastroenterologists to join a dynamic team and contribute significantly to addressing a physician shortage through locum tenens work.
