**Job Title:** Locum Tenens GI Physician**Job Specialty:** Internal Medicine - Gastroenterology**Job Duration:** 13 weeks**Shift:** Day - 5x8 - 09:00 AM - 05:00 PM - 40 Hours per week**Guaranteed Hours:** Not specified**Experience:** Not specified**License:** Board Certification Required**Certifications:** ACLS, BLS **Must-Have:** Board Certification in Gastroenterology**Job Description:**- Seeking a full-time Locums GI Physician to work in both clinic and procedure settings.- Responsibilities include patient consultations and performing various gastroenterological procedures.- Required to perform Upper GI endoscopy with preferred skills in biopsy, foreign body removal, fulguration of bleeder, injection of varices, and more.- Perform ERCP (endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography) with diagnostic and therapeutic skills.- Conduct PEG (percutaneous endoscopic gastrostomy) and interpret esophageal manometry.- Expertise in performing and interpreting small bowel and liver biopsies.- Perform sigmoidoscopy, both flexible and rigid, and colonoscopy with preferred skills in biopsy and excision of polyps.- Endoscopic ultrasound (EUS) proficiency is preferred.- Experience in the insertion and management of Sengstaken/Blakemore tube.**Additional Information:**- The nearest airport and lodging recommendations are available for out-of-town candidates.- Estimated credentialing timeframe is 90 days.- The facility is non-trauma level with no Pediatric level required.- This is an ongoing position starting from 1/1/2025.
