Job Title: Locum Tenens Physician Job Specialty: Internal Medicine - Hematology and Oncology Job Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day - 5x8 - 08:00 AM - 04:00 PM Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week Experience: License: Board Certified or Board Certification Eligible required Certifications: ABLS, ACLS, BLS Must-Have: Epic/Beacon experience is a plus Job Description: - Shifts are Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM. - Include call duties overnight for clinic patients only. - No procedures or Bone Marrow Transplant (BMT) required. - Patient encounters comprise approximately 60% oncology and 40% hematology. - Average daily patient census is 5. - First call is handled by Hospitalist coverage. - Majority of cases involve solid tumors, possibly lymphoma, but no leukemia. - Well-rounded staff includes Medical Assistants and Registered Nurses. - Expected to manage approximately 15 patient encounters per shift. - Facility is a Level 2 trauma center. - Pediatric level 0 care facility. - The facility requires a clean history for expedited credentialing, typically taking 60-90 days.
