Job Title: Locum Physician Job Specialty: Pediatrics Hospitalist/Emergency Medicine Job Duration: 13 months Shift: 4 PM - 1 AM Guaranteed Hours: Not specified Experience: Pediatric Emergency Medicine fellowship-trained preferred; Pediatricians with ED experience considered License: Must have a valid MO license (priority given) Certifications: PALS required; if not Pediatric Emergency Medicine (PEM) trained, PALS and ATLS required Must-Have: Experience with trauma, procedural sedation, airway management, procedures, etc. Job Description: - Provide high-quality care for pediatric patients in a trauma level 1 facility - Engage in patient encounters ranging from 14-18 per shift, primarily during evening/nights - Cover approximately 15 shifts per month - Work in a department with 13 rooms and 3 hall beds, ensuring excellent patient care - Utilize support services available 24/7, including Anesthesia, Cardio-Thoracic Surgery, Cath Lab, General Surgery, Laboratory, Neuro-Surgery, OR Response Time, Orthopedic Surgery, Vascular Surgery, and Radiology - Handle newborn deliveries received in the ED and collaborate with the L&D department - Pediatric specific responsibilities include non-invasive ventilation management (bipap/cpap) and pediatric ventilation management - Participate in estimated credentialing within a 60-90 day timeframe - Engage in a collaborative team environment with a focus on delivering exemplary pediatric care
