**Job Title:** Physician (MD)**Job Specialty:** Neurosurgery**Job Duration:** 52 Weeks**Shift:** Day, 24-hour on-call ideally Wednesday-Tuesday, every other week. 5x8 Hr**Guaranteed Hours:** 40.00**Experience:** Minimum years of experience required**License:** Valid license to practice in applicable state**Certifications:** - Board certification/eligibility based on education and specialty- Valid DEA in applicable state- BLS or ACLS upon hire in an acute care hospital- BLS or ACLS within 90 days of hire in an ambulatory clinic**Must-Have:**- Patient Care Experience- Metrics Experience- ACLS Certification**Job Description:**- Function independently to provide high-quality patient care in a collaborative and patient-centric manner.- Deliver care in various settings through multiple modalities, including direct patient interaction in hospitals or clinics, and via telephone, video, or secure email as appropriate.- Conduct patient history gathering, physical exams, prior record reviews, and ancillary data assessments using sound judgment and up-to-date medical information.- Develop and monitor treatment plans, communicating effectively with patients, families, and care teams.- Provide efficient and compassionate care utilizing a multi-disciplinary approach through communication, continuity, coordination, and evaluation.- Educate and counsel patients and families to support care plans, treatments, and discharge processes.- Collaborate with healthcare team members and medical staff to ensure safe patient care while communicating pertinent findings to the physician and team.- Assist physicians with patient management in compliance with care site policies, regulations, and approved Scope of Practice.- Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and practice metrics, documenting in accordance with guidelines.- Promote the mission, vision, and values of the healthcare system while adhering to service behavior standards.- Perform other duties as assigned and may need to float to other departments based on business needs.- Required to be on-call during scheduled shifts and work nights/weekends for identified positions.
