**Job Title:** Physician - Obstetrics and Gynecology**Job Specialty:** Obstetrics and Gynecology**Job Duration:** Ongoing monthly as needed beginning November 2024**Shift:** 7 a.m. to 7 a.m.**Guaranteed Hours:** Not specified**Experience:** Not specified**License:** Not specified**Certifications:** - Advanced Burn Life Support (ABLS) - Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) - Basic Life Support (BLS) - Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) - ATLS - Other relevant certifications**Must-Have:** Board Certification Eligible**Job Description:** - Coverage dates include November 25th through December 2nd and December 23rd through January 2nd, with ongoing monthly needs in 2025. - Patient encounters per shift: 5 - Nearest airports: Lexington, KY, and Bristol, TN - Facility does not require physicians to be board certified. - Estimated credentialing timeframe is approximately 30 days. – Fellowship experience required - Manage and provide care for low and high-risk pregnancies. - Perform and interpret fetal heart rate monitoring (NST/CST/FSE). - Conduct obstetric ultrasounds and interpret results at various levels (I and II). - Perform amniocentesis and oversee routine and complicated deliveries, including C-sections and VBACs. - Specialize in handling breech, multiple births, and delivery complications such as abruptions. - Conduct repair of 3rd and 4th degree lacerations. - Perform office/minor gynecological procedures such as IUD insertion, cystoscopy, colposcopy, cryosurgery, and LEEP. - Undertake both open and laparoscopic surgical gynecology, including tubal ligation, LOA's, and ectopic pregnancy management. - Laser certification preferred. This role provides a long-term need within the obstetrics and gynecology specialty, ensuring comprehensive care and treatment across a variety of scenarios and patient needs.
