A facility is seeking a pediatric surgeon for locum tenens coverage.A nature lover's paradise to spend time in AZ!The need is due to a gap in coverage at large Level 1 trauma hospital. The schedule involves 24-hour call with typical hospital hours from 7 AM to 5 PM. The role includes managing a volume that is 20% pediatric clinic and 80% pediatric hospital, with around 500 surgeries per year. The locum will respond to in-house codes but will not be expected to provide backup for the ED or trauma. Support staff includes one permanent pediatric surgeon and one nurse practitioner, with Cerner as the EMR system. Credentialing typically takes about 4 weeks.
