**Job Title:** Locum Psychiatrist**Job Specialty:** Psychiatry**Job Duration:** 13 months**Shift:** Days; 7 days on/7 days off**Guaranteed Hours:** Not specified**Experience:** 2+ years of inpatient psychiatry experience preferred**License:** IA license or Interstate Medical Licensure Compact (IMLC) required**Certifications:** Board Certified in Psychiatry required**Must-Have:**- Ability to work 7 days on/7 days off schedule- Inpatient experience- Experience treating patients ages 6 and up- Familiarity with specified treatment disorders and therapies**Job Description:**- Conduct inpatient psychiatric care for adult and adolescent units.- Perform hospital and ER consultations.- Supervise Advanced Practice Providers (APP).- Participate in a rotating schedule for hospital calls/consults every third day during shift hours.- Average number of patients per day: 5-12.- Collaborate with a group currently consisting of 1 part-time inpatient psychiatrist and 2 APPs.- Utilize Cerner for documentation.- Work in a facility with security measures in place.Experience with the following conditions and treatments is required:- Anxiety Disorders- Affective Disorders- ADD/ADHD- Personality Disorders- Eating Disorders- Developmental Disorders- Psychotic Disorders- Organic Disorders- Family Therapy- Restraint Application- Group Therapy- Pharmacotherapy- Seclusion Therapy- Voluntary CommitmentsWeekend and night call duties may be expected.
