**Job Title:** Locum Physician**Job Specialty:** Radiation Oncology**Job Duration:** 38 weeks**Shift:** Day - 5x8 - 9am - 5pm, with potential for night/weekend call**Guaranteed Hours:** Not specified**Experience:** Minimum board certification eligible**License:** Not eligible for Interstate Medical Licensure Compact (IMLC)**Certifications:** - Basic Life Support (BLS) required**Must-Have:**- Radiation Oncology expertise, including brachytherapy, external beam therapy (EBRT), and various advanced radiation techniques**Job Description:**- Serve in a clinic providing radiation oncology care.- Manage and treat on average 15 patient encounters per shift.- Work collaboratively within a department equipped with 3 beds.- Perform required specialty skills such as: - Radiation Oncology Brachytherapy Intracavitary - High dose rate LDR - EBRT using Linear Accelerator - Techniques including Conventional/Conformal Therapy, IMRT, IGRT, SBRT, and all types of Stereotactic Radiosurgery (SRS)- Utilize advanced tools and technologies: - Rapid Arc/VMAT, Electrons - Conventional treatment planning and beam shaping techniques - 3D CRT and IMRT - PET CT or MRI Image Fusion, Electronic Portal Imaging (EPI)- Participate in clinical trials when necessary.- Facility trauma level is 3 with no pediatric level.- Estimated credentialing timeframe of 90 days.- Engage in hyper altered fractionation processes.This opportunity is for a qualified and certified radiation oncologist displaying proficiency in the necessary techniques and treatments specified. The role is integral in ensuring patient care through advanced radiation methods.
