Job Description & RequirementsWe are currently looking for a Cardiothoracic Surgery Physician Assistant for locum tenens support in Long Island- New York. VISTA is assisting a well-known and prestigious Health System in New York at one of their Long Island Hospitals. This nationally recognized hospital is on US News & World Report's list of Best Hospitals for Cardiology and Heart Surgery for 2022- 2023. Details For this Opportunity: -Schedule: 3-12s / Dayshift -Job Setting/ Type of Cases: Level 1 Trauma Center; 735 Beds; Major Teaching Site; Will be First Assist for Open Heart Surgeries and Procedures. This is a 10 bed ICU and the NP/PA is responsible for all ICU patients and any critical care consults related to cardiothoracic surgery. -Experience: Only for highly qualified candidates who have 2+ years of solid Cardiothoracic surgery ICU experience. Experience with ECMO preferred Providers will need to be very comfortable working in the ICU without needing any on the job training.
