Nurse Practitioner- Clinic- Locum or Perm- WAAmerican Consultants is looking for a nurse practitioner for either a locum or perm position for a clinic in Washington State. Must have a current WA license.Position Overview:The Nurse Practitioner (NP) is a licensed healthcare professional who works autonomously or in collaboration with other healthcare team members to provide comprehensive care to patients in a clinical setting. The NP plays a critical role in diagnosing, treating, and managing acute and chronic medical conditions, promoting wellness, and improving patient outcomes.Key Responsibilities:- Patient Care:- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including history-taking, physical examinations, and diagnostic testing.- Diagnose and manage acute and chronic conditions such as infections, injuries, hypertension, and diabetes.- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, including prescribing medications and therapies.- Provide preventive care, health education, and counseling to promote overall well-being.- Collaboration:- Work closely with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated patient care.- Refer patients to specialists or other healthcare services as needed.- Documentation and Compliance:- Maintain accurate and timely medical records in accordance with clinic policies and legal requirements.- Ensure compliance with state and federal healthcare regulations.- Quality Improvement:- Participate in clinic initiatives to enhance patient care and operational efficiency.- Stay updated on medical advancements and evidence-based practices to ensure high-quality care delivery.- Patient Advocacy:- Advocate for patients by addressing their concerns, explaining treatment options, and supporting informed decision-making.Qualifications:- Education: Masters or Doctorate degree in Nursing from an accredited program.- Licensure: Active Nurse Practitioner license in the state of practice.- Certification: Board certification in a specialty area (e.g., Family, Adult-Gerontology, Pediatrics).- Experience: Clinical experience preferred but not always required; new graduates may be considered depending on the clinic's needs.- Skills:- Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic abilities.- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.- Proficiency in electronic health records (EHR) systems.- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
