Responsibilities include reserving properties for walk-in guests, registering guests upon arrival, providing communication, and delegating instruction to aid in the guests' comfort during their stay. Specific duties include extra evening stocking and cleaning during quieter parts of the day. The Lodging Check-In is located along the Kintla boardwalk in the upper village.Job Relationships:

Job Specifications:
- High school graduate or GED equivalent
- Per WSI Vehicle Insurance standards: must be at least 21 years of age to transport guests and possess a valid driver's license with the ability to be added to WSI's vehicle insurance policy
- Experience in lodging or resort-specific front desk duties and guest service preferred
- Office clerical experience preferred, including MS Office, copy/fax, RTP, Streamline, etc.
- Local area knowledge preferred
- Strong customer service background required, 3-year minimum preferred
- Previous experience with cash management, counting a bank, and reconciliation preferred
- Excellent written and verbal English communication skills
- Work within the framework of the company and department policies and procedures as set forth in the employee manuals
- Demonstrated ability to work with a diverse group of people and handle a variety of tasks and challenging situations in a calm and professional manner
- Must be a self-starter and able to work independently with little supervision, especially in maintaining a clean, organized lobby and fully stocked market
- Multi-task in a fast-paced environment while potentially adjusting priorities to customer concerns with the highest level of customer service
- Demonstrate ability to cross-sell other departments and businesses at the resort and effectively communicate this information to guests
- Must be willing to take responsibility for independently ensuring personal safety and participate in the company safety program
- Operate efficiently in an office setting, using computers and phones to communicate and aid guests
- Flexibility in schedule changes on short notice required
- Requires working weekends, overnights, and holidays; overtime may be required during peak demand times at the discretion of management
Specific Duties:
- Use Streamline to interact with reservations, answer guest inquiries, provide notations, and enter work orders for maintenance issues
- Communicate professionally using the internet, MS Office Outlook, Teams, and SharePoint
- Complete related paperwork and guest interaction to register and check out guests for all WMRL properties
- Provide thorough information to guests inquiring about the resort and surrounding areas
- Post and balance all extra room charges
- Sell, clean, receive, stock, and face products in the Village Market
- Accurately give change, count a bank, and close tills
- Clean the public areas of the Lodging Check-In, Market, and the offices frequently
- Dispatch and prioritize Guest Services Personnel to secure properties and tend to guest needs
- Emphasize customer service and safety in all aspects of operation and participate in ongoing training opportunities to maintain standards
- Acquire knowledge specific to individual properties managed by WMRL
- Acquire a detailed knowledge of other departments and businesses at the resort and effectively communicate that information to guests
- Maintain a professional appearance at all times, including in radio and phone communications
- Display a courteous, helpful attitude to all guests and employees at all times
- Perform other tasks as assigned to assist in the efficient operation of the department
- Provide professional communication using the base radio communication system and telephones as the after-hours switchboard for the entire resort
- Develop and maintain a professional and positive working relationship with Security Personnel, Housekeeping, and Maintenance in anticipation of solving any guest conflicts or concerns
- Print/post daily reports and marketing to communicate priority of cleans, secures, and needed information
- Willingness to learn/perform all positions related to Lodging Check-In operations to better provide services to guests
Work Environment:
- Moderate physical activity, including constant bending, stooping, lifting, climbing stairs, shoveling, and stretching. Frequently handling objects up to 20 lbs and occasionally up to 50 lbs
- Ability to be on one's feet for extended periods up to 8 hours daily
- Ability to sit/stand at a computer workstation for periods up to 4 to 6 hours daily
- Safely drive company vehicles in the performance of daily duties
- Requires use of approved chemical cleaning agents on a daily basis. Proper training in the use of these chemicals will be provided, and material safety data sheets will be available for each chemical used in the workplace
