As a Logistics Supervisor overseeing both shipping and receiving activities, this role's primary responsibility is to oversee the efficient operation of the warehouse department, ensuring timely receipt, storage, and dispatch of goods while adhering to safety standards, food safety and quality standards, regulatory requirements, and company policies. You will lead a team of warehouse personnel, coordinating their activities to maintain smooth operations and meet customer demands. Dip Into Your Role

  • Supervise and lead warehouse staff, including warehouse coordinators II, forklift operators, and case pickers. Provide some oversight over inventory control activities and personnel as needed.
  • Be a visible leader, actively engage with team members, conduct regular floor walks, provide clear directions, and openly communicate expectations and feedback.
  • Responsible for safe operations and ensuring compliance to all quality and safety procedures and processes. Including timely reporting and investigations.
  • Provide training, coaching, and performance feedback to ensure high productivity and adherence to safety protocols
  • Foster a positive and collaborative work environment to promote teamwork and morale within the warehouse team.
  • Oversee the accurate receiving, storing, and organization of incoming inventory, including raw materials, packaging supplies, and finished goods.
  • Coordinate inbound and outbound shipments, including scheduling deliveries, preparing shipping documents, and arranging transportation logistics.
  • Ensure proper handling, packaging, and labeling of products to prevent damage during transit and meet regulatory requirements.
  • Monitor receiving procedures to verify the quality and quantity of incoming materials, resolving discrepancies promptly and communicating with stakeholders as needed.
  • Provides daily communication in a group setting and periodically presents to larger audiences
  • Works closely with the Inventory Control, Operations, and Facilities teams to identify improvements to drive efficiencies, and accountability
Recipe for Success
  • Bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain management, business administration, or a related field (highly preferred).
  • 2+ years of relevant experience in inventory, warehouse, and distribution
  • 2-3 years in a supervisory or leadership role, preferably in the food manufacturing industry, highly preferred.
  • Preferred Experience in warehousing, shipping, logistics, receiving, inventory management, inventory control, inventory process, continuous quality improvement, expediting and transportation
  • Familiarity with food safety regulations, quality standards, and compliance requirements conducive to maintaining a safety first culture.
  • Strong knowledge of shipping/receiving processes, inventory control methods, and warehouse management systems. Previous SAP experience highly preferred.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and engage a diverse workforce.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving abilities and decision-making skills in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
