JOB PURPOSE:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Logistics Administrator to oversee and facilitate all transportation-related operations. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, the ability to multi-task and the ability to learn the rules and regulations of logistics.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Prepare electronic and paper-based documentation for all shipments including Bills of Lading, Packing List, Tax Invoice, Proforma Invoice, Commercial Invoice, and other records to comply with all domestic and international transportation regulations.
- Provide rate information, tools and quoting to support order costing.
- Assist with tracking emails, quotes and questions from account managers.
- Manage reporting on all freight information for every shipment including cost, dimensions, weights, destinations, quotes, etc. on a daily/weekly/monthly/annual basis.
- Manage and schedule appointments with shippers and customers for deliveries and pick-ups.
- Perform any other additional duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Prior experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Prior administrative experience preferred.
- Strong computer skills including working knowledge of Outlook and Excel – NetSuite is a plus.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Attention to detail is a must.
- Ability to learn the rules and regulations of domestic and international shipments.
- Strong ability to multi-task.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
