Job Description:
OverviewProvide technical, and programmatic support to client Program Executive Offices. Efforts may include overarching program management, logistical analysis and support, operations analysis, process improvement and programmatic support. Support a variety of tasks including: support and completion of client briefings; producing process maps and collaborative tools integrating engineering teams, shipyards, other defense contractors, and decision makers; meeting critical program milestone deadlines; managing program needs and external requirements, and; ensuring the right resources are provided to the right priorities at the right time.This position is located in Arlington, VA.Job Description:
  • Develop, document, and execute logistics processes simultaneously at various shipyards and with the operational forces.
  • Effectively translate part failure reports into prioritized actionable parts requirements, develop sourcing solutions for decision makers and supervise approved sourcing actions to resolution.
  • Manage associated carcasses and supervise recovery of equipment to depots and OEMs for repair.
  • Develop and manage informational and decisioning tools, enabling cross functional team collaboration.
  • Build visuals and briefs for program leadership based off collected failure and sourcing solution data.
  • Document, present, and defend analytical results.
  • Apply leadership skills and the ability to manage competing priorities, multiple tasks and work requirements with minimal direction.
  • Apply highly effective customer service skills and work effectively across teams to foster a collaborative work environment across the organization.
  • Develop, train, and integrate, engineers, sailors, and support contractors on tool usage and logistics processes.
  • Conduct assessments of current business practices, tool functions, and existing gaps to proactively solve client pain points without explicit tasking.
  • Apply highly effective communication skills (oral and written) and communicate complex issues and present results to senior leadership and others in a clear and concise manner.
  • Ability to work without supervision in dynamic environments in line with client, task lead, and project lead intent with minimal guidance.
  • Be able to travel no more than 25% of the time in support of operations and conferences.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in a quantitative discipline (e.g., economics, engineering, mathematics, operations research, statistics, or business) or a discipline that fosters problem solving, structured thought and creativity.
Desired Qualifications:
  • 1-3 years of defense or intelligence logistics experience
  • Understanding of weapons and/or automated information systems design, production, operations, and support processes.
  • Ability to work autonomously in a variety of environments (shipyards, Naval base, USN ships).
  • Ability to lift and move equipment up to 75 pounds.
  • Understanding of Navy shipboard logistics systems (OTS, OMMS, R-Supply) or other similar military logistics systems (GCSS-MC, GCSS-A).
  • Understanding of military organizational structure and hierarchy.
  • Ability to think analytically, creatively, and critically.
  • Ability to precisely and concisely communicate and defend complex analytical results verbally and in various forms of written products.
  • Active Secret Clearance.
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Strong Microsoft SharePoint skills.
