Job Summary
The Logistics Analyst is responsible for auditing, processing, and paying all freight invoices for the AFL, FAA and other Business Units. Report monthly freight accrual and savings from invoice auditing. Analyze both product delivery and supply chain transportation processes and procedures to identify and recommend improvements to maximize delivery efficiency while minimizing costs. Provide shipment tracking for outbound and inbound shipments. Confer with logistics management to determine ways to optimize service levels, maintain supply-chain efficiency, and minimize cost. Maintain relationships with internal and external Logistics customers.
Responsibilities
* Uses Oracle, Adobe Acrobat, Vendor-provided systems, and Microsoft Office programs including: Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams
* Review and approve domestic transportation invoices processed by 3PL
* Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual freight reporting
* Maintain daily shipping and tracking reports with accuracy
* Discover the most cost-effective shipping modes and schedules
* Manage multiple daily delivery reports for high-level customers
* Maintain strong relationships with high-level customers to understand their logistics needs and expectations
* Address customer inquiries and resolve issues related to shipping and deliveries
* Maintain relationships with external and internal Logistics customers
* Must work and communicate effectively with carriers and TMS partners
* Proactively manage urgent situations
* Analyze logistics data to identify trends, inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvement
* Establish and track key performance indicators (KPIs) related to logistics efficiency, customer satisfaction, and cost-effectiveness.
* Optimize transportation routes and schedules to enhance operational efficiency while minimizing costs and delivery times.
Qualifications
* Associates Degree required and equivalent experience or Bachelor's Degree preferred.
* Ability to communicate and interact effectively inter-departmentally.
* Proficient with MS Office applications
* Analytical, Mathematical, and Problem-solving skills
* Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
* Detail oriented
