Job Description

NY based company and licensed cannabis cultivator with expanding operations is currently seeking a new Logistics and Distribution Manager to join their team in Southern, NY to oversee all aspects of distribution, inventory management, warehousing, and transportation. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in a lean warehouse environment, preferably in cannabis logistics. This role involves leading a small team, managing fleet operations, and optimizing packaging and shipping processes.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Oversee inventory management, warehousing, and fleet operations (currently 2 trucks with in-house drivers)
• Manage order processing, ensuring the right products are packaged, manifested, and shipped accurately
• Supervise a team of drivers, an inventory clerk, and packaging specialists
• Implement and optimize order management systems (familiarity with METRC needed)
• Ensure compliance with tracking and traceability mandates (OCM)
• Develop and continuously improve warehouse processes
• Resource planning, scheduling, and workforce management to optimize efficiency

Required Skills & Experience

• Experience in logistics and inventory management, ideally in the cannabis industry
• Leadership experience in a lean warehouse environment
• Strong understanding of supply chain, transportation, and distribution processes
• Familiarity with order processing tools and METRC
• Military logistics background preferred
