Logistics Associate at Stanadyne Position Overview: Ensures that all materials and supplies are moved to the proper storage location or Replenishment Point. Observes inventory locations managed by vendors and/or manufacturing associates to assure replenishment is timely and accurate. This position may perform one or more of the following duties: Shipping, receiving, material handler, cycle counter. Here is a glimpse of what you'll do:
- Primary role for this position will be material handler
- Responsible for coordinating the movement of all materials to, from and throughout the PPT manufacturing facility
- Maintains inventory in locations assigned and replenishes to the appropriate signal (Kanban, 2-bin or re-order point) as required
- Ensures that all materials and supplies are moved to the proper storage location or Replenishment Point
- Observes inventory locations managed by vendors and/or manufacturing associates to assure replenishment is timely and accurate
- Works closely with direct ship vendors, to ensure continuous replenishment of work-in-process inventories, ensuring zero shortages, zero defects and no line stoppages due to stock outs
- Responsibility for the accurate shipment of goods and supplies from the facility
- Responsible for verifying and processing all documentation, system transactions and handling requirements associated with all inbound and outbound material movements
- Guarantees SAP (or other systems) are updated in a timely and accurate fashion
- Supports all required physical inventory and cycle counting procedures
- Operates all barcode labeling equipment as required
- Actively supports all required Dunnage management procedures and processes
- Working with Accounting Department ensures that all receiving and shipping transactions are complete and accurate
- Ensures all non-compliant materials are quarantined in the MRB area and noted on the system as such
- Trains other support personnel as required
- Performs other related duties as required
Here is some of what you'll need (required): High School Diploma or GED At least 3 years of logistics experience At least 1 year of SAP systems experience Must be willing to rotate or work off-shifts Knowledge of material handling and storage methods and procedures Basic understanding of the attributes and benefits of Lean Manufacturing, Pull Systems, Continuous Improvement and the 5S system
