Job Type Full-timeDescriptionPurpose for RoleIMMY's Logistics Associate is responsible for all domestic and international shipping and all the associated support functions, including processing orders for fulfillment in the ERP system. This position requires specialized knowledge of the shipping regulations for IMMY's products in all destination countries, best practices in packing, and knowledge of carrier solutions (UPS, FedEx, DHL, etc.) and their advantages on a case-by-case basis depending on the product being shipped. Key Roles and ResponsibilitiesShip Products Correctly and On Time
- Process orders in ERP with correct items and locations in a timely manner
- Accurately pick, pack and prepare product for carrier pickup
- Schedule outbound carriers as needed including working with freight forwarders
- Ensure all labels are properly placed on shipment and arrange shipments in correct areas per carrier
- Organize shipping area and maintain supply of shipping materials required to execute all shipping activities
- Maintain knowledge of IATA, DOT, UN-Packaging shipping processes
Prepare and Maintain Accurate Shipping Records and Documents
- Ensure all shipping documents for domestic and international shipments are done correctly
- Prepare and maintain shipping information and documentary records
- Responsible for completing all daily shipments, shipment confirmations, and verifying that all orders have been processed and picked up by transportation carriers
Customer Satisfaction
- Work closely with Order Processing Department to properly meet customer specific notification requirements and detailed order requests
- Investigate shipping complaints, lost items, and damages
- Participates, as required, in training on regulatory issues affecting own area of work
- Brings regulatory compliance questions/issues to the attention of management
- Communication with carriers and customers via phone calls and emails
Supports in Maintaining Accurate Finished Goods Inventory
- Helps count incoming finished good inventory upon arrival to warehouse
- Communicates finished goods inventory adjustments needed due to sell by dates or incorrect quantities
- Communicates any issues or finished goods concerns via proper communication channels
The IndividualRequired Qualifications Include:
- High school diploma or GED
- High attention to detail and ability to accurately read and understand written materials and instructions
- Must be able to secure and maintain Hazardous materials and Dangerous Goods Shipping Certification, IMMY to provide training if needed
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs multiple times per day
- Ability to speak, read and write clear, concise English
Preferred Qualifications include:
- Excellent knowledge of IATA, DOT, UN-Packaging shipping, storage, and import requirements
- Knowledge and understanding of basic and international shipping methods
