Logistics Brokerage ManagerJob Title: Brokerage ManagerJob Location: Houston, TXWe have an exciting opportunity for a Logistics Manager. This position manages our Brokerage Team and works with the Logistics, Finance, Sales, and Safety Departments to safely and profitably move freight using outside carriers. Key Responsibilities:
- Manages the logistics coordinators to ensure excellent customer service and to meet margin goals
- Engage with customers to build positive relationships
- Provide on-time service & complies with service incident procedures
- Work with accounting on unbilled deliveries, outstanding and aging carrier payments, Demurrage & per diem reconciliation, and billing & accessorial reconciliation
- Weekly and monthly reporting of revenue and margin performance
- Sales pricing and bidding on new business with salespeople
- Sales engagement and solicitations
- Financial oversight and reporting.
- Spot market analysis of prices and carrier pay
- Dispatch system compliance, open orders closed daily
- Power Only trailer tracking compliance
- Trailer pool management and carrier trailer usage bill backs
- Carrier procurement, retention, and safety compliance
- Employee engagement and retention, finalize monthly bonuses
- Assigns work, sets completion dates, reviews work, and manages performance in accordance with organizational policies, procedures, and performance management processes
- Other duties as assigned
Skills / Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, related field, or equivalent experience.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, TMS and Customer Management Systems.
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills
- Demonstrated personal leadership skills, sharing the core vision and values of Hermann
- At least 2 years of supervisory experience
