Job Description:

We are seeking a motivated Carrier Relations Representative to join our team. In this role, you will build and maintain relationships with carriers to ensure timely, efficient freight movement. Your responsibilities will include negotiating rates, managing carrier performance, and collaborating with internal teams to resolve transportation issues. Success in this position requires strong communication skills, logistics knowledge, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

• Work with freight broker to prospect and onboard new carrier partners to expand M&P's network capacity
• Negotiate competitive rates and terms with carriers
• Maintain and strengthen relationships with existing carriers
• Collaborate with operations and customer service teams to ensure smooth shipments
• Monitor carrier performance (on-time delivery, claims, billing accuracy)
• Stay informed on industry trends and regulatory changes affecting carriers
• Prepare reports on carrier performance and market conditions
• Provide exceptional service to internal and external stakeholders
• Maintain accurate carrier contract and rate records

Qualifications:

• Proven experience in carrier sales, freight brokerage, or similar sales field
• Strong negotiation and relationship-building skills
• Excellent communication (verbal and written)
• Analytical, with a data-driven decision-making approach
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
• Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
• Knowledge of transportation regulations is a plus
