Job Summary: Hearthside is looking for a dynamic Warehouse Clerk who will have a positive impact on the operations team. As a Warehouse Clerk you will perform shipping duties for the plant, including scheduling, tagging products and maintaining an organized warehouse. What you'll be doing:
  • Checking in drivers
  • Operating forklifts
  • Checking Purchase Orders
  • Scheduling trucks for loading/unloading
  • Preparing shipping documents and entering data on a daily basis
  • Maintain records of all products and orders
  • Verify Seals on trucks
  • Maintain customer shipment files
  • Maintain Open communications with Corporate Customer Service to maximize shipments and minimize problems
  • Work with Plant General Manager and Supervisors to establish load out and shipment schedules and keep them informed on orders (distribute copies, etc.)
  • Coordinate containers, export documents, export documents and shipping documents for export shipments
  • Maintain good relationship with the trucking companies
  • Perform other duties assigned
What you'll need: High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Language Skills: Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization. Mathematical Skills: Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry. Computer Skills: Ability to use PICK system and basic windows operation of Word and Excel and GroupWise email system.
