Job Description:

The Logistics Clerk will act as the distribution department liaison with customers regarding final delivery of their shipments. Process and make ready for pickup all parcel shipments. Provide backup and assistance to the Distribution Specialist, Shipping Clerk and Logistics Analysts.

Duties and Responsibilities:

* Complete jobsite confirmation calls to customers daily, verifying all pertinent customer details/requirements.

* Communicates any changes to traffic team immediately and updates system.

* Provides backup support to the Distribution Specialist, Shipping Clerk and Logistics Analyst positions.

* Use SAP to create LTL's and prepare shipping documents

* Rate LTL's using websites. Enter charges, dunnage, and pro numbers on LTL shipments

* Run delivery due list at end of day for LTL shipments to get orders ready for the next shipping day.

* Track LTL shipments using carrier websites, re-consign shipments when needed

* Arrange returns with LTL's carriers

* Answer Carlisle Shipping emails

* Assign appointment times using inbound schedule

* Notify customer service of backorders and/or changes to shipments. Additions, changes, and deletions to deliveries

* Process and ship all parcel shipments daily.

* Operate all machines, equipment, tools, and devices safely and per Standard Work Instructions, Rules, and Regulations.

* Research invoice discrepancies in SAP Workcycle

* Participate in department work groups.

* Apply required labels, stickers, markings

* Accept and engage in assignments, as business and operational needs dictate

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

* Essential Full Performance Knowledge: Required knowledge includes but is not limited to:

* Knowledge of safety practices required when working on the warehouse floor.

* Ability to recognize and report a safety hazard.

* Knowledge of the company brands and all private label products including CCW, and any special product requirements.

* Able to competently perform tasks requiring SAP transactions.

* Essential Full Performance Skills: Required skills include but are not limited to:

* Reading - Cycle count sheets, pick lists, packing lists, bill of lading, inbound schedules, labels, product codes, tags, etc.

* Ability to take and pass hazmat certifications (IATA, IMDG, 49CFR)

* Math - simple addition, subtraction, multiplication and division.

* Writing - Recording of cycle counts.

* Communications - Interact with all Department Personnel.

* Participate in Safety programs and Department work groups.

* Problem solving skills

* Able to competently utilize SAP as a product research tool.

* Computer skills (SAP, SFIS, Outlook, Microsoft programs)

Work Environment/Time Worked: (Include but is not limited to)

* Time Worked:

* 8 hour shift Monday-Friday.

* Work overtime as business and operational needs dictate.

* Majority of time spent in normal office environment.

* Exposure to fast pace congested warehouse.

* Potential for a drafty work area.
