Job Description Summary
The principal role of the Warehouse Specialist Clerk is to manage all activities around shipping and receiving from Manufacturing, Ensure Trade Compliance, and provide on demand support of warehouse team. Accountable to internal customers needs and that company policy and international trade compliance regulations are adhered to. Accountable to perform and execute all required processes to ensure inventory accuracy.
Job Description
Essential Responsibilities
Responsible for all activities around shipping / receiving
Receiving Shipping items in ERP system/Material transactions
Coordination of shipments including paperwork / receiving trucks schedules and documentation
Register shipment receipts by freight forwarder
Ensure shipment receipts on time and high quality of shipment by having lowest price
Follow up on shipment / receiving issues
Internal and external contact person for all shipping / receiving questions
Ensure Trade Compliance, lead AEO program
Importation/Exportation including necessary paperwork
Work with global teams on global initiatives
Perform warehouse distribution, storage, process improvement duties in compliance with current GDP as per annual GDP Training and local procedures; leveraging or through the use of manufacturing tools and concepts.
Qualifications
High School Diploma or local equivalent
2 years export/shipping operations experience, import/receiving experience or order management or materials handler experience.
Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional, global team environment
Excellent interpersonal skills
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Need to be able to prioritize work and multi-task
Proactively follow up on open issues
Willingness to work extended hours, overtime & weekends during peak times of the year
Desired Characteristics
Associates in Logistics, Materials or Supply Chain Management
Solid communication and analytical skills, including experience with communicating with others from different counties and cultures.
Ability to energize, develop and build rapport at all levels within the organization
Proven ability to execute, multi-task, and deliver on commitments
Experience working in a compliant supply chain
Six Sigma Green Belt certified.
Oracle order management experience.
Proven ability to build relationships with remote colleagues
Demonstrated aptitude and success in fostering solid, value-based relationships with internal and external customers.
