Job Summary:

The Logistics Clerk will work directly under the team manager, learning about logistics, interacting with and managing complex logistical moves, working with corporate clients, and providing an upbeat, open-minded demeanor to the team.

$20-$22/hr

Duties and Responsibilities:
* Coordinate Shipments: Plan and execute inbound and outbound shipments, ensuring on-time delivery and compliance with company policies.
* Manage Transportation: Oversee transportation routes, negotiate with carriers, and monitor shipping schedules to ensure cost-effective and timely delivery.
* Vendor Management: Build and maintain relationships with suppliers, vendors, and third-party logistics providers to ensure smooth operations.
* Documentation & Compliance: Ensure all shipping and receiving documentation is accurate, complete, and compliant with regulatory standards.
* Problem Resolution: Address and resolve any logistics-related issues, including delivery delays, damaged goods, or inventory discrepancies.
* Process Improvement: Continuously evaluate logistics processes to identify opportunities for improvement, cost savings, and efficiency gains.
* Cross-Department Collaboration: Work closely with the sales, production, and customer service teams to align logistics activities with business goals.
Qualifications:
* 2+ years freight management experience.
* Proven managerial and supervisory skills.
* Extensive knowledge of operations and production management.
* Ability to interpret financial data as needed to set production goals.
* Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.
Physical Requirements:
The work requires routine walking, standing, bending, and carrying items weighing less than fifty pounds. Moving items over fifty pounds will be done using team lift. Must meet physical lifting requirements of 50 lbs.
