Join us.DescriptionAs a Logistics Coordinator II, you will be responsible for performing a variety of Supply Chain and Logistics support activities as related to order processing, order receipt and order shipment. Responsibilities include assessing order completeness and accuracy, using multiple Caterpillar information systems to track and plan Logistics Node and dealer shipments, investigating issues and order discrepancies and problem solve as well as communicate with Node team, account coordinators, orders analyst, master schedulers - both local and in the UK. Supporting career development, this position will be required to rotate through the orders analyst, material planning, and shipping desks.Typical responsibilities can include managing vessel schedules and prime product receipts to Logistics Nodes, prepare and distribute order documents, dealer order acknowledgement, dealer order releases, order change processing, dealer requests inquiry, order grief resolution, and post inbound goods arrivals. Also included is daily review in transit units, manage dating/scheduling of machines, provide operational documentation, support commercial documentation, coordinate change requests between facilities.Other job responsibilities can include to examine documents, materials and products, and monitor work processes to assess completeness, accuracy and conformity to standards and specifications. Review documents such as production schedules, work orders, and materials requirements, and material priorities including quality control measures.Additional duties may include creation and audit of shipping documentation, monitor change requests and coordination of shipment between related business units and or dealer support services, maintain Metrics and reporting, as well as develop and maintain standard work documentation.Basic Qualifications2 years of experience in supply chain or logisticsProficiency with Microsoft Office including, Word, Power Point, Excel and AccessTop Candidates will also haveExposure and knowledge of MRP systems and material flow paths of the Caterpillar Clayton and Waco PlantsProficiency in SAPExperience with Power BI, Tableau or other data visualization softwareExcellent customer service focus, ability to handle multiple tasks and work independentlyCandidate must be self-motivated, have initiative, good analytical, problem solving and organizational skillsExcellent attendance recordProven self-starterAdditional InformationShift: 1st ShiftHours: M-Th 6 a.m. – 4:30 p.m., Mandatory Overtime as necessaryStarting pay rate: 26.37Work location: Clayton, NCEmployee benefit detailsOur goal at Caterpillar is for you to have a rewarding career.
