Logistics Coordinator based at our newest business location in Macon, GA . We are looking for someone who has the drive to go above and beyond the call of duty in providing Superior Quality Service for our customers. You will work with one of the fastest-growing Freight Brokerage/Transportation Management companies in North America.Work Schedule: Thursday - Monday (Day Shift)Who You Are:
- Your Education: Trade Certification or Associate's Degree
- Your Experience: 2-5+ years of previous brokerage/logistic experience is an asset
- Focused on creating positive customer-company relationships
- Enjoy working in a fast-paced environment to meet deadlines
- Ability to work on competing priorities simultaneously
- Enjoy solving real-world business problems
- Basic Microsoft Excel familiarity
What Will You Do:
- Creatively reach out to carriers to build carrier relationships, and bring new carriers to the Midland team
- Coordinate shipments with partner carriers and outside shippers
- Effectively move truckloads of products to ensure on time pickup and delivery to customers
- Use a live visibility tool to track transit times, progress and monitor the shipments, and make alternate arrangements when required (e.g. Fourkites)
- Connect with other carriers to obtain quotes and rates for the shipments
- Operate a world class environment and transportation management system (e.g. MercuryGate)
