We are looking for an experienced Logistics Coordinator to administer the company's freight and delivery operations. The Logistics Coordinator will be responsible for the day-to-day administration of inbound and outbound freight. This is a critical admin position that will work directly with management and sales personnel in the company. The ideal candidate will like to work with systems, data, and processes. Key duties include:
- Work with Logistics Manager to plan and schedule deliveries and interoffice transfers via company's straight trucks and contracted carriers.
- Provide all associated paperwork to drivers.
- Contact customers to arrange delivery appointments.
- Provide LTL and TL freight quotes.
- Prepare LTL, Volume and TL shipment bill of ladings.
- Manage equipment weights and dimensions in database.
- Coordinate and process damage claims.
Position Requirements The ideal candidate for this role will be highly organized, personable with previous experience and possess an understanding of logistics. This position requires a detail-oriented individual, focused on efficiency and quality to get the job done right the first time.
- Minimum two (2) years of Logistics experience required
- Proven experience managing 3rd party carrier relationships
- 1 year of administrative experience preferred
- Experience with purchasing and purchase orders preferred
