Summary: The main goal of a Logistics Coordinator is to collaborate with QAP's transportation team to ensure prompt shipments and exceeding customer expectations.Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.•Schedule customer delivers and returns based on trucking logistics. Maintain constant communication with dedicated carrier to ensure customer needs are meet.•Check deliveries for accuracy. Research and resolve any discrepancies.•Input data and maintain accurate record for missed shipments.•Schedule common carriers and live loads•Ensure truck drivers time records and ELD are accurate and complete based on DOT standards and QAP policies.•Qualify new drivers based on DOT and QAP standards.•Maintain broad knowledge of DOT standards and FMCSA regulations•Communicate between departments the status of deliveries.•Schedule maintenance and inspections on trucks and trailers. Communicate with dedicated carrier.•Track all the proof of deliveries.•Maintain DOT records.•Inspect returned materials for damage or defects.•Maintain accurate shipment dates based on customer needs and finished goods.•Input data to track department efficiency.•Ability to maintain regular attendance at QAP facility.•Observes safety and security procedures; Reports potentially unsafe conditions; Uses equipment and materials properly.•Maintain communications between cross departments.CompetenciesTo perform the job successfully, an individual should demonstrate the following competencies:Customer FocusIs dedicated to meeting the expectations and requirements of internal and external customers; gets first-hand customer information and uses it for improvements in products and services; acts with customers in mind; establishes and maintains effective relationships with customers and gains their trust and respect.Integrity and TrustIs widely trusted; is seen as direct, truthful individual, can present the unvarnished truth in an appropriate and helpful manner; keeps confidence; admits mistakes; doesn't misrepresent himself/herself for personal gain.Education and/or ExperienceHigh school education; or 1 to 3 years of related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.Language/Reasoning Ability/Mathematical SkillsAbility to add, subtract, count in simple units of measurement and or whole numbers. Ability to read, write and speak basic English and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to read and write simple lists. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving forklifts and pallets. The employee is occasionally exposed to hot or cold conditions. The noise level in the work environment is high and requires the use of hearing protections.
