Electric Machinery Company, a division of WEG Electric Corp Minneapolis, MN Position: Logistics Coordinator (internally we refer to this position as a Traffic administrator) Department: Shipping Reports to: Production and Planning Manager Primary Objective of Position: The Traffic Administrator is responsible for managing all domestic and international inbound and outbound shipments. Major Areas of Accountability: Negotiates contracts with specialized carriers for truck load, super load, ocean freight, railroad, UPS and courier services. Determine best mode of transportation by using an outline drawing to estimate the weight and dimensions. Arrange LTL shipments through Insight TMS Portal. Packaging and shipping of small packages with UPS, FedEx and DHL Express. Must work closely with Final Assembly and Crating teams. Produce documents for domestic and international shipments, which include Bill of Lading, Packing List, Shipper s Letter of Instruction and the Commercial Invoice.
