Job Description: Logistics Coordinator/Manager
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Logistics Coordinator/Manager to join our team. This role is pivotal in managing and optimizing logistics for renewable energy projects, ensuring smooth operations and efficient delivery of critical components. The ideal candidate is a highly motivated professional with a proven track record of success in logistics management, particularly in renewable energy or power generation sectors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Logistics Management: Oversee the end-to-end logistics process, including tracking and coordinating the delivery of high-value components such as modules, high-voltage equipment, and wind parts.
- Project Support: Manage logistics across a portfolio of 21 renewable energy projects, each ranging from 100 MW to 300 MW in size, ensuring all materials are delivered on time and within budget.
- Data Analysis and Reporting: Utilize strong Excel skills to analyze data, track inventory, and generate detailed reports for stakeholders.
- Renewable Energy Expertise: Leverage knowledge of wind, solar, and battery energy storage systems to optimize logistics strategies and troubleshoot delivery challenges.
- Process Optimization: Identify areas for improvement in current logistics processes and implement solutions to enhance efficiency.
- Vendor Coordination: Liaise with suppliers, transport companies, and project teams to ensure seamless coordination and delivery.
- Compliance: Ensure all logistics activities comply with industry regulations, safety standards, and company policies.
- Travel and Site Visits: Travel to project sites (50% travel required) to oversee logistics operations and ensure alignment with project timelines and objectives.
Required Qualifications:
- Experience: 5-10 years of experience in logistics management, with a strong preference for candidates with a background in renewable energy or power generation.
- Industry Knowledge: Expertise in tracking delivery of renewable energy components such as wind parts, solar modules, and high-voltage equipment.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Excel for data management, analysis, and reporting.
- Adaptability: Proven ability to work independently, make decisions under pressure, and take initiative to address challenges ( grab the bull by the horns ).
- Project Experience: Experience managing logistics for large-scale projects, preferably in the renewable energy sector.
Contract Details:
- Duration: Initial 6-month contract with the potential for extension based on performance and project needs.
- Location: Based in Austin, TX, with a hybrid schedule (Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday in the office).
- Travel: 50% travel required, fully covered by the company.
