GENERAL SUMMARY:
Under general supervision the Logistics Technician EMS performs duties to receive, store, and issue supplies and equipment, assist to maintain inventory records, and assist to restore equipment to useable condition as required. safety concerns. Adheres to AdventHealths Corporate Compliance Plan and to rules and regulations of all applicable local, state and federal agencies and accrediting bodies. Actively participates in outstanding customer service and accepts responsibility in maintaining relationships that are equally respectful to all.
The role youll contribute:
Responsible for assisting with the fleet of ambulances scheduled/unscheduled maintenance and equipment repairs.
Orders, receives and distributes supplies/stock as needed to maintain adequate inventory at sites.
Pull stock from inventory to stock room and record items pulled to deplete inventory records.
Monitor supplies and equipment on spate and turn-key units to ensure that date codes are not expired
Prepares stand-by units for special events, ensuring that they are fully stocked with required supplies and equipment.
Provides a daily log on equipment/supply status, keeping the team updated on repairs.
Assist with periodic preventive maintenance on ambulance equipment.
Assist Fleet Coordinator, Shift Supervisor, and Fleet Maintenance with logistics and scheduling of vehicle repairs and maintenance.
Perform minor preventive maintenance or repairs to broken or worn equipment.
Maintains and ensures vehicle inspections for cleanliness, stocking and minor repairs addressing crew concerns.
Adheres to the AdventHealths Corporate Compliance Plan and to rules and regulations of all applicable local, state and federal agencies and accrediting bodies.
Responsible for knowledge of best practice standards in the industry for patient safety and outcomes.
Is a liaison with EMS customers and works closely with the team to maintain patient and crew safety.
Qualifications
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
High school diploma or GED.
EMS transport knowledge.
LICENSURE, CERTIFICATION OR REGISTRATION REQUIRED:
Current insurable Class C Driver's License or higher
