As we continue growing at a fast pace, will you Dare to Grow with us?YOUR ROLE We are seeking a motivated and dynamic Continuous Improvement Engineer to join our high-volume distribution center team. This is an excellent opportunity for an entry-level to mid-level engineer (0-5 years of experience) looking to make a significant impact by driving efficiency and process improvements. You will be part of a site that has a long-standing track record of continuous improvement, with annual cost savings exceeding $1 million, and has recently been recognized with a company award for its outstanding Lean and process optimization efforts. In this role, you will be mentored by a Senior Industrial Engineer and will work closely with cross-functional teams to identify and implement process improvements, driving both cost savings and operational efficiency. This is a highly visible role, reporting directly to Operations but with strong support from engineering and other departments, offering opportunities to lead high-profile projects that deliver tangible results. WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO?
  • Lead and support Kaizen events and continuous improvement initiatives, serving as a coach and facilitator for improvement teams.
  • Identify opportunities for process optimization across key areas such as picking, packing, and shipping operations within the distribution center.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including operations, engineering, and supply chain to develop, implement, and track cost-saving initiatives.
  • Create A3/A4 Kaizen project reports for each improvement project to document problem statements, root cause analyses, action plans, and final outcomes.
  • Document and analyze performance data , providing regular reports on progress, savings, and the effectiveness of initiatives.
  • Prepare and present monthly cost savings and performance reports to site leadership and stakeholders.
  • Use Lean, Six Sigma, and other continuous improvement methodologies to identify root causes, develop solutions, and lead implementation efforts.
  • Build strong relationships with operations teams to drive a culture of continuous improvement and problem-solving.
  • Monitor and sustain improvements after implementation, ensuring changes become embedded in the daily operations.
  • Participate in problem-solving sessions and support teams in using tools such as value stream mapping, time studies, and 5S.
  • Drive innovation in process improvement, bringing new ideas and methods to the table for improving productivity and reducing waste.
WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering preferred (Industrial, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, or related fields) or significant experience in continuous improvement in a high-volume environment.
  • 0-5 years of relevant experience in a similar engineering or continuous improvement role.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and an analytical mindset, with a keen eye for identifying inefficiencies and opportunities for improvement.
  • Knowledge and experience with Lean, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies (certifications such as Green Belt are a plus).
  • Experience with data analysis tools such as Excel, Access, and SQL Server for manipulating large data sets and analyzing trends.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills , with the ability to collaborate effectively with teams at all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, balancing short-term operational needs with long-term improvement goals.
  • Hands-on approach with a willingness to work on the operations floor to better understand processes and implement changes.
  • Self-starter with a growth mindset, eager to learn and grow within a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Experience in high-volume distribution, logistics, or manufacturing environments is preferred but not required.
