Our commitment to injecting radical re-thinking about what is possible is backed by generational wealth with a history of making long-haul investments.Position SpecificsThe Logistics, Inventory, and Warehouse Manager position is a key role requiring an enthusiastic self-starter with strong organizational skills and ability to balance immediate/long term priorities while managing multiple tasks. The Lummus Logistics and Warehouse Manager oversees the operations of all warehouses, including inventory and all shipping and receiving. This person will schedule and supervise other warehouse associates. The Logistics and Warehouse Manager processes invoices and shipping orders, while also maintaining warehouse inventory, including the day to day management of the warehouse operation, customer order fulfillment functions and associated processes/procedures. The Logistics and Warehouse Manager is responsible to develop and maintain a clear and scalable logistics strategy to support the growth of Lummus.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesEffectively manages the day-to-day operation of the warehouse and team through the operational team leadersMaintains receiving, warehousing, and distribution operations by initiating, coordinating, and enforcing program, operational, and personnel policies and proceduresControls inventory levels by conducting physical counts; reconciling with data storage systemCompletes warehouse operational requirements by scheduling and assigning employees, following up on work resultsManages all off site warehouses and is the primary liaison for those warehousesMaintains physical condition of warehouse by planning and implementing new design layouts; inspecting equipment; issuing work orders for repair and requisitions for replacementMaintains warehouse staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employeesMaintains warehouse staff job results by coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees, planning, monitoring, and appraising job resultsResponsible for investigating stock discrepancies, including negatives, un-found and sold out, and reporting the information to relevant managers including FinanceResponsible for maintaining the stock levels and re-ordering general consumables as agreedEnsure the warehouse is compliant with current Health and Safety regulations and that the warehouse team is trained appropriatelyAssigning Harmonized Tariff Schedule (HTS), and/or Schedule B and ECCN classificationsCreating Bills of Lading (BOL) and shipping labelsConducting internal audits to review import and export complianceManaging shipments of in-house and vendor parts/assembliesAny other reasonable duties as and when requestedRequirements4+ years of experience in logistics and trade compliance with increasing responsibilities, preferably in a manufacturing environmentAble to analyze data, extrapolate insights and communicate findings clearly and concisely to managementExcellent problem solving and judgment to drive issue resolution in a timely manner; develops alternative solutionsExperience with managing and expediting parts delivery to meet customer deadlinesProven knowledge of industry standard logistics and trade compliance regulations, including Free Trade Agreements, CFR Title 19, ACE, HTS classificationISO 9000Proficiency working with ERP systemsProficient with MS Office suite - intermediate Excel skillsBachelor's degree from an accredited college/university highly preferredWorking with all modes of transport to include LTL, T/L, freight forwarders, and brokersBehavioral TraitsAbility to self-manage in a dynamic environment with minimal oversightStrong sense of urgency and attention to detailExcellent organization, communication, and follow-up skillsAbility to manage multiple priorities and operate efficiently despite frequent interruptionsEqual Opportunity Employer
