Logistics & Inventory Manager Refinery Joe Knows Atlanta , GA US Posted 18 hours ago Joe Knows We are recruiting for this Management position. The scope of this position encompasses all aspects of shipping and receiving for feedstocks entering and products leaving the facility. As a biofuels manufacturing facility, we require rigorous documentation and reporting for regulatory and customer quality control. This position is responsible for developing these programs, training the site personnel, and maintaining these workflows. In addition, this position will track and maintain accurate inventory on-site and maintain inventory/supply chain systems to support the production goals of our facility. This role reports directly to the plant manager and will have the opportunity to develop the logistics program and strategy. Facility located between Atlanta and Savana Ga. Need to live local, relocation fee available

Responsibilities

* Monitor internal operations and external supply chains for coordination of short- and medium-term logistics of feedstocks and products shipments and storage to meet production targets.

* Develop an understanding of applicable regulatory and industry certifications/credits for feedstocks and products, and implement programs (RFS, LCFS, TTB, and others) to maximize product value to our customers.

* Certify feedstocks for receiving and products for shipment.

* Maintain records and samples as required by regulatory and industry standards.

* Provide training and direction to site personnel for receiving of feedstocks and shipping of products.

* Lead the sites analysis of alternate feedstocks and products.

* Assist site with transportation of other bulk materials including catalyst and waste materials.

* Strong collaboration required within site and corporate groups Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

* Bachelors degree in engineering, supply chain management, or equivalent

* Industry knowledge: working understanding of the industry and regulatory standards/practices in receiving and shipping bulk liquids with a preference for experience in fuel handling.

* 4-8 years relevant experience, preferably petrochemical/chemical/refinery or liquid bulk industry in logistics, logistics planning, or operations

* Strong communication and facilitation skills to work with internal/external stakeholders and coordinate with cross-functional teams

* Excellent communications skills

* Ability to work individually, or as part of a team and build relationships with stakeholders, customers, and third parties and able to influence without authority

* Strong ability to prioritize multiple competing objectives and meet tight/demanding deadlines

* Strong problem-solving skills and confidence to make decision
