**Summary**
The **Logistics Management Specialist I** supports the DOS USLC- Hagerstown.
**Responsibilities**
+ Assists with the planning and scheduling of inbound and outbound shipments to/from the USLC- Hagerstown.
+ Assists with the coordination ofhousehold effects movements.
+ Communicates directly with Foreign Service officers/customers to schedule household effects deliveries and Access and Segregation appointments.
+ Coordinates household effects shipment and storage actions with transportation counselors.
+ Ensures customers, counselors, transportation service providers and all other stakeholders are kept updated on household effects actions.
+ Issues government bills of ladings and other obligating documents to transportation service providers.
+ Create work orders and calculate the authorized costs for services provided.
+ Ensure timely and correct shipment data entry into the Department of States Integrated Logistics Management System (ILMS).
+ Utilize ILMS reporting tools to track shipment status and ensure missing ILMS data is supplied, and requirements are completed efficiently.
+ Responds to short-notice requests from the management staff, including requests for automated reports and any other unique requirements.
+ Must be proficient in all office functions, including export shipment and domestic shipment processing.
+ Screens telephone calls, electronic mail, visitors and incoming correspondence.
+ Responds to requests for information from internal and external stakeholders.
+ Other duties as assigned
**Qualifications**
+ High school diploma or equivalent.
+ Ability to obtain and maintain a PUBLIC TRUST clearance.
_Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:_
+ Possess a basic working knowledge of the transportation/logistics industry.
+ Possess a basic level of proficiency with Information Technology (I.T.) software applications, including Microsoft Office Word, Excel, Power Point and Access.
+ Possess verifiable speaking and writing skills that demonstrate the ability to professionally communicate with customers and stakeholders, including high-ranking government officials.
