Logistics Manager - Claremont FiberLocation: Claremont, NCPrysmian is the world leader in the energy and telecom cable systems industry. Each year Prysmian manufactures thousands of miles of underground and submarine cables and systems for power transmission and distribution, as well as medium lowvoltage cables for the construction and infrastructure sectors. We also produce a comprehensive range of optical fibers, copper cables and connectivity for voice, video, and data transmission for the telecommunication sector.The Claremont Fiber Logistics Manager reports to the Fiber Operations Manager. The Logistics Manager is responsible for the inbound materials, outbound finished goods, and production planning within Claremont Fiber.Role Responsibilities: Leads and directs a team of 12 to meet the deliverables of the inbound, outbound, and production planning for the department through superior leadership.Coordinating and overseeing manufacturing operations to forecast orders and meet customer demands.Optimize operational resources while executing cost reductions and inventory controls.Ensure that appropriate import and export compliance procedures are followed by employees and contracted service providers.Conduct monthly capacity and performance analyses to ensure that forecasts and schedules are aligned and integrated.Execute demand flow verification processes, engage in short- and long-term planning and conduct inventory analyses for warehouse utilization and manufacturing coordination.Promote the design, development, and implementation of warehouse distribution and logistics solutions.Manage labor costs, personnel productivity, inventory levels, data accuracy and stocking strategies.Measure and report on the effectiveness of departmental activities and operations.Implement strategies to improve service quality, employee efficiency, equipment performance and interdepartmental communication.Contribute to the creation and implementation of best practice manufacturing vision, strategy, policies, processes and procedures to aid and improve operational performance.Other duties as assigned by the Operations Manager. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree strongly preferred; APICS certification preferred.Minimum 5 years working in Manufacturing, Logistics, or Supply Chain required.Minimum 3 years of people leadership experience.Flexibility to meet demands, depending on business needs, outside of an 8 - 5 schedule.SAP knowledge strongly preferred.
