Job DescriptionJob Summary:Responsible for managing DENSO Logistics Salisbury (DMNC) which is a two-shift logistics operation at optimal efficiencies to contribute to improved profitability for overseas and domestic suppliers. Roles & Responsibilities:
  • Oversees directly, and through a group of production supervisors, the daily activities of the plant and provides strategic leadership and direction for multiple areas of the plant operations.
  • Develops and maintains strong cross functional relationships in order to develop effective organizational planning, goal setting and a culture of continuous improvement through process improvement and enhancing the skills and abilities of production staff.
  • Designs short-term strategies, procedures and people utilization with an end goal of improving equipment reliability, efficiency, productivity and performance while reducing inventory and waste and also maintaining product quality and operating expenses.
  • Quantifies and analyzes manufacturing performance, equipment utilization, product quality, people utilization, inventory management, facility setup and efficiency and operating expenses for assigned areas.
  • Manages production planning activities to maximize the use of the organization's resources and meet established production specifications and schedules; volume, cost and waste targets; and quality standards. Develops production schedules and processes.
  • Expedites operations that delay schedules and alters schedules to meet unforeseen conditions.
  • Analyzes plant capacity and production requisition data to determine manufacturing processes and required resources; prepares production reports.
  • Liaises with functional or operational area managers (production, supply chain, procurement, maintenance, engineering, human resources, etc.) to integrate their activities into production plans, cost estimates and schedules.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related field required.
  • 10+ years of relevant experience required.
