Position Summary: The Logistics Manager will be involved in all activities related to managing the Shipping and Receiving department. The Logistics Manager will oversee three shifts and will also work directly with Customer Service, Scheduling, and Production to guarantee on-time delivery to customers.Duties & Responsibilities:
- Lead Shipping and Receiving personnel in executing inbound and outbound freight deliveries and shipments on 3 shifts, including general supervision, development, scheduling, and conducting performance evaluations
- Schedule and manage all transportation carriers, including delivery appointments and document preparation
- Coordinate transportation services (finished goods and transfers) that optimizes cost and level of service required
- Review and implement changes to department process to improve cost effective operation
- Support inventory management process as directed by Supervisor
- Professionally communicate with customers concerning order status, delivery notification, and invoicing
- Conduct weekly Production/Safety meetings with departmental personnel
- Oversight transportation providers via quarterly business reviews
- Review and dispute (where necessary) transportation invoices
- Conduct investigations including development and implementation of follow up action items to resolve business inefficiencies and customer complaints
- Track and report KPIs for the shipping/receiving team and develop corrective actions for metrics that are not within specification
- Other responsibilities assigned as business demands

- Job related certifications or education, is a plus

- 5+ years of experience in Warehouse and Shipping
- Previous management/supervisory experience
