**Job Description:**

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented **Logistics Manager** to join our team! In this role you will get to manage the Counter-Weapons of Mass Destruction (CWMD) Security Cooperation Engagement Program (CSCEP) Logistics planning and operations which include working with the project team to select equipment that requires procurement, identifying equipment needed for training events, and coordinating with freight forwarders to pick up, ship, and deliver equipment for overseas training events.

**What You'll Be Doing:**

+ Gathers and analyzes data on product plans and project objectives. Provides tracking, status reports, and logistics plans to support and ensure distribution and delivery commitments for manufacturing or servicing of products, equipment, and systems

+ Develops policies, guidelines, and procedures to ensure quality and cost control.

+ Conducts distribution and network studies, monitors, inventory, and analyzes requirements in order to develop strategies to achieve or improve desired results.

+ Works with Task Order Manager and Training Manager to identify equipment items that need to be procured

+ Work with Task Order Manager and Training Manager to identify equipment that needs to be pulled from the warehouse and shipped overseas to support each training event.

+ Responsible for warehouse operations.

+ Develops shipping schedules.

+ Forecast shipping lead times.

+ Negotiating pickup of equipment from warehouse, customs clearance and delivery for overseas training events with Freight Forwarder subcontractors.

+ Management of the freight forwarding contracts (Functionally).

+ Manages annual inventory of the warehouse for property reporting (compiles report)

+ Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.

**What Required Skills You'll Bring:**

+ Bachelors degree and 15+ years of related professional experience in warehouse management and logistics.

+ Active DoD Secret clearance

+ Experience with government property management processes and procedures

+ Comprehensive knowledge of Logistics and freight forwarding processes, as well as a thorough knowledge of industry practices.

+ Knowledge of warehouse operations including inventory control

+ Knowledge of quality, safety, and health guidelines for warehouse operations.

+ Proven ability to perform in a supervisory capacity.

+ Excellent written and oral communications skills.

+ Requires the ability to communicate clearly, conduct presentations to the warehouse team and interface effectively with a diverse group of professional trainers and planners.

+ Strong interpersonal skills to work with field personnel in a tactful and effective manner.

+ Computer proficiency with advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Products, including Word, Excel, and Power Point.

+ Strong attention to detail.
