Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Air and Ocean Logistics Specialist to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing and optimizing our ocean logistics operations, ensuring efficient supply chain management, and maintaining high standards in warehouse management.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, manage, and coordinate logistics operations including shipping, receiving, and warehouse activities.
  • Oversee fleet management to ensure timely delivery of goods while optimizing transportation costs.
  • Negotiate rates and agreements with transportation vendors.
  • Provide outstanding customer service including on-spot and timely solutions to unexpected inconveniences and claims
  • Utilize Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) for tracking equipment maintenance and performance.
  • Implement effective inventory management strategies to maintain optimal stock levels.
  • Analyze data related to logistics performance to identify areas for improvement.
  • Supervise that the Logistics operation runs smoothly in all areas: warehouse, transportation, and customer service.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies in all logistics activities, including managing internal and external audits from TSA, FMC, and customs.
  • Monitor OSHA standards, regulations, and requirements.
  • Train and mentor junior staff on best practices in logistics operations.
  • Set and monitor KPI

Experience

  • 8+ years of experience in international logistics or supply chain
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and a comprehensive understanding of fleet management, shipping, and receiving processes.
  • Bachelor's Degree in International Business, Supply Chain or Logistics
  • Strong knowledge of international trade and customs laws and regulations.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish
  • 5+ years of experience in supervisory roles managing teams
  • Familiarity with warehouse management systems and processes.
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools and techniques to drive decision-making.
  • Inventory management.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Excellent communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • TSA and OSHA 10 certificates
  • Microsoft Office, Gsuite, Power BI

Education:

  • Bachelor's (Preferred)
