Position Summary:
A growing manufacturing company is seeking an experienced Logistics Operations Specialist to direct and coordinate operational projects to provide subcontractors, management, and customers with logistics mechanisms to ensure effective and economical manufacturing support regarding the servicing of products, systems, or equipment.
Reports To: Operations Manager
Required Skills:
- Analyze contractual agreements, customer specifications, design changes, and other data to plan and develop projects from the conceptual stage through life-cycle of product.
- Utilize computer techniques for analysis, simulation or information systems and documentation.
- Complete the receipt of all incoming materials within 24 hours of receipt, including foreign facility turnarounds, raw material, and consumables.
- Coordinate and schedule all outbound shipments.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma and Associate's Degree from a two-year college.
- 1-2 years of experience in logistics or operations in a manufacturing environment.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications.
- General knowledge of MRP systems. SAP preferred.
- Experience with international shipping and AES filing preferred.
- Use of language, mathematical, reasoning, and computer skills.
- Ability to multitask and drive projects through to completion with proven organizational skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong writing and verbal communication skills.
