A leading freight forwarding organization is currently seeking a Logistics Process Engineer who will design and implement operational efficiencies, support management by analyzing processes and identifying improvements, lead projects to streamline work flows, optimize building designs, and enhance supply chain performance. Responsibilities for the Logistics Process Engineer:
- Apply logistics modeling to improve operations and facility design.
- Support new client implementations across the network.
- Evaluate and enhance current logistics processes for efficiency and cost savings.
- Design and implement facility layouts to boost productivity and quality.
- Provide logistics technology and information for client operations.
- Assess warehousing software and IT systems to optimize efficiency.
- Develop logistics metrics and KPIs to measure performance.
- Analyze logistics data related to customer service, forecasting, procurement, transportation, and warehousing.
- Prepare documentation for logistics data reporting and management systems.
- Conduct logistics studies, including time, rate, and flow-path analyses.
Requirements for the Logistics Process Engineer:
- Over 5 years of experience in logistics engineering, including systems, process evaluation, layout design, analysis, and reporting.
- Strong tech knowledge.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio).
- Experienced in Power BI and CAD.
- Skilled at interpreting customer specs into operational flows, solving challenges, and explaining tool functions.
