Job DescriptionWe are looking for a talented Logistics Co-op (School to Work) to join our team specializing in Logistics for our Cummins Inc. facility in Florence, KY.In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:
  • Identifying Process Improvements: Assist in pinpointing areas for improvement within manufacturing and distribution operations, driving efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Implementing Projects: Participate in the development and execution of process improvement projects, ensuring they are successfully implemented.
  • Data Analysis: Analyze operational data to identify trends and opportunities for efficiency gains, providing valuable insights for decision-making.
  • Reporting and Presentations: Prepare detailed reports and presentations to communicate findings and recommendations to management, aiding strategic planning.
  • Project Coordination: Assist in planning, coordinating, and executing improvement projects, ensuring they align with business goals and are completed on time.
  • Monitoring Progress: Track project milestones and monitor progress to ensure timely completion of deliverables, maintaining project momentum.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with cross-functional teams to ensure projects are aligned with overall business objectives, fostering a collaborative environment.
  • Customer Operations Support: Provide support to the Customer Operations team, addressing operational issues and improving customer satisfaction through effective solutions.
ResponsibilitiesTo be successful in this role you will need the following:
  • Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: Utilize your strong analytical abilities to identify issues, analyze data, and develop effective solutions to improve processes and operations.

  • Understanding of Lean Manufacturing: Apply your basic understanding of lean manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies to identify opportunities for efficiency gains and process improvements.
Education/Experience:Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite a plus Pursuing a degree in Industrial Engineering, Operations Management or a related field.
