We are looking to hire a Logistics Protection & Security Risk Manager with experience in developing and implementing strategies to minimize theft and mitigate security risks across warehousing, rail and transportation operations.
This role is committed to safeguarding assets, strengthening operational security, and reducing risks to ensure the seamless and secure movement of goods throughout the supply chain.
This position is Full time and is Onsite in Santa Ana, CA or Plano, TX
Ability to travel up to 30%.
Responsibilities:
- Perform risk assessments to detect vulnerabilities throughout the supply chain.
- Partner with management to incorporate security measures into daily operations and long-term strategies.
- Design and implement comprehensive theft prevention programs for warehouse and transportation operations (rail and trucking)
- Oversee freight and warehouse monitoring using advanced security technologies, including GPS tracking and surveillance systems.
- Investigate theft, fraud, and cargo loss incidents, document findings, and enforce corrective actions.
- Ensure adherence to company and industry security regulations, including transportation security standards.
- Analyze theft and cargo loss trends to drive policy enhancements.
- Manage security operations during high-risk activities such as cross-docking, drayage transfers, and long-haul transport.
- Maintain and update emergency response plans focused on theft prevention.
- Generate comprehensive reports on theft incidents, risk patterns, and preventive strategies.
- Advise management on reducing operational risks and strengthening supply chain security.
- Audit freight payment data and shipment records to identify inconsistencies or theft indicators.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice, Logistics, or a related field required
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in logistics security, theft prevention, or related roles.
- Strong understanding of logistics operations, 3 PL transportation Operation, warehouse management, and best practices.
- Strong understanding of warehouse, railroad, and trucking operations.
- Proficiency in security technologies, including surveillance systems and asset tracking tools.
- Excellent problem-solving, investigative, and analytical skills.
- Ability to work with cross-functional teams and communicate effectively with law enforcement.
- Familiarity with regulatory requirements for transportation security.
- Ability to work independently and be resourceful
- Proficient with software including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel
- Willingness to travel to various facilities and operational sites.
