This position may require travel to the corporate office for meetings and training, as determined. An ideal candidate will possess a can-do proactive attitude with the ability to adapt to ever-changing market conditions. Specialized mode experience preferred!Duties and ResponsibilitiesOperational Transactions: Ensure shipment details and process instructions are accurately communicated, promptly responded to, escalated, tracked, and monitored via applicable communication method or TMS. Promptly answer high volume of calls and time sensitive correspondences addressing inquiries and providing information.Tracking: Ensure shipment details are accurately communicated and tracked following standard operating procedures. Monitor covered and in-transit freight through calling drivers or Macro Point tracking product flow from origin to final delivery.Procurement: Submit competitive quotes and bids for shipments, ensuring accurate cost estimations and timely delivery to meet client requirements.Team Collaboration: Partner with internal teams to align carrier capacity with customer demands and operational goals. Provide detailed communications and instructions to other shifts by phone, e-mail, and TMS database.Visibility: Provide visibility to management and customers by tracking, process oversight, auditing, researching, and troubleshooting operational issues or functions. Investigate and report on load exceptions, ensuring accurate documentation and resolution are recorded and communicated.Service Excellence: Source quality carrier coverage for open loads, contact carriers for freight pick-up, to arrange transportation, obtain rates, and schedules. Follow-up and continue review of in-progress  loads to ensure satisfactory completion for customers. Promptly and effectively address, research, and resolve any transportation needs or issues escalating as appropriate.Relationship Building: Establish, expand, and cultivate transportation relationships. Work closely with common carriers to ensure on-time deliveries by checking shipment status daily.Data & Technology Utilization: Navigate internal and external customer TMS and related technology tools ensuring all transactions, documentation, and interactions are accurately recorded and compliant with company standard operating procedures.Market Analysis: Stay up to date on the industry and market with the ability to adapt to the ever-changing market conditions.Additional Duties: Perform other responsibilities and duties as assigned to support the overall logistics operations and tracking functions.RJ Logistics, LLC is an Equal Opportunity Employer (EEO).
