Coda Search is partnering with a global commodities firm with offices located in Westchester County. This is a dynamic company that has a global presence and recently acquired a new entity with big plans for 2023 and beyond. The team is seeking to hire a Logistics/Operations associate who will be responsible for managing the logistical process reviewing contracts, working with counterparties, managing transportation, and working with multiple stakeholders across the group.
Responsibilities:
- Support the trading desk ensuring all trade confirmations have been sent and received
- Overseeing the logistical process including contract review, working with counterparties, and ensuring shipment
- Coordinate shipment schedules
- Post orders and create invoices to be sent out
- File claims on damaged goods
- Reconciling positions and tracking shipments through internal software and excel
- Ensuring compliance on all transactions and identifying risks
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree required
- Prior commodities experience required
- 3+ years in logistics/operations
- Strong excel skills (vlookups/pivots)
- Excellent communication and time management skills
